DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES Students must have a minimum of two years previous training. Following an initial class, our faculty determines the placement of the student in either intermediate or advanced classes. All classes are accompanied by piano and held in our spacious studios. A two hour class is given every morning at all levels, Monday through Saturday. Ballet classes are also held in the afternoon and include pointe, variations and repertory. Jazz & Broadway Dance Theatre and Choreographic Workshops are taught in the afternoon. Rehearsals are scheduled on some evenings in preparation for the final performance. FACULTY Ballet: Oleg Briansky, Mireille Briane, Marina Stavitskaya, Elena Solovieva, Shir Lee Wu and Victor Lytvynov Jazz & Broadway Dance Theatre: Jessie Hilf Visiting Faculty: New York City Ballet(TBA) Guest teachers have included: Merill Ashley, Dina Bjorn, Jean-Pierre Bonnefous, Marilyn Burr, Melissa Hayden, Allegra Kent, Robert La Fosse, Sean Lavery, Peter Martins, Arthur Mitchell, Ivan Nagy, Colleen Neary, David Richardson, Carole Sumner, John Taras, Elena Tchernichova, Edward Villella, Valentina Kozlova, Suki Schorer, Larissa and Gennadi Saveliev, Violette Verdy Variations classes from the repertory will be offered to advanced students in preparation for the student's performance at the end of the summer session. Choreographic works will also be presented. Rehearsals for all projects will be posted accordingly. We recommend that students attend three classes a day, and that they take instruction in all dance forms. However, students who wish to concentrate on one dance form are permitted to do so. At the end of the four week session, parents are invited to attend classes on the last two days and the student performance in the Dance Theatre of Skidmore College. ADMISSION Open to all applicants

A charge of $35 will be made for returned checks. A charge of $30 will be applied for late enrollments (after June 1, 2008). The fee includes the special students' pass to all performances of the New York Cty Ballet at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (except the gala performance - July 12).
